This workshop will be held on two consecutive Tuesdays, Dec 12th and 19th from 6-8pm.

Here’s your chance to create some unique handmade gifts for Christmas! Come make some ornaments out of clay to share with family and friends, or just keep them all for your own tree. During the first class, we work in clay. I will fire your pieces in my kiln over the week, and then in class two we will finish them with cord.

Each workshop participant will get a large slab of clay and enough time to make as many ornaments as your heart desires. Use our cutters, bring in your own cookie cutters, or design free-hand. After cutting shapes out, we will practice various surface design methods. Come back the next week to string your fired shapes onto ropes or cords adding interesting knots and extra beads. Or, if you would like, you can just pick up your fired pieces and take cord and beads home to finish on your own time.

This experience is appropriate for all skill levels. Be as ambitious or simple as you would like. Adults as well as children ages 10 and up are welcome.
